Green Valley Care Center in New Albany, Indiana, was named Life Care Centers of America’s Facility of the Year for its Central Division on Aug. 14, 2017.

The award was presented during Life Care’s annual management meeting, held at its headquarters in Cleveland, Tennessee. The award recognizes the facility as the premier location in Life Care’s Central Division, which includes 35 skilled nursing and rehab centers in Indiana, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.

Criteria for this award include excellent customer service, a strong activities department, an active volunteer program and involvement in the community.

Led by Executive Director Jesse Ray, Green Valley Care Center was praised for its clinical excellence and friendliness. The center earned a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in July, the highest rating given.

“We congratulate Jesse and his team of associates who, together, have developed such a strong facility,” said Beecher Hunter, Life Care president. “The residents at Green Valley Care Center, and their families, are the real winners as they benefit from the works of love performed by the team every day.”
