On Dec. 12, 2017, a dream came true for a resident at Green Valley Care Center in New Albany, Indiana.
Victor Crecelius is a Vietnam War veteran who used to play the guitar. He is proud of having met Willie Nelson in person at one of his concerts.
Knowing that this would be Crecelius’ first Christmas without his wife, the team at Opal’s Dream Foundation, a nonprofit that fulfills dreams for residents at skilled nursing and rehab centers in the region, brought him a new guitar.
“The guitar is beautiful,” said Crecelius. “I hope it helps me with my anxiety.”
John Brown, maintenance tech, is a guitar player as well and helped Crecelius with the built-in tuner.
